These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all vehicle rental bookings made directly with PH Heritage Limited or through the Turo platform. By confirming a booking, the Hirer agrees to be bound by these terms.

1. Eligibility and Driver Requirements

1.1 The minimum driver age is 30 years old.
1.2 The driver must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 10 years.
1.3 The driver must have no more than 3 penalty points on their licence at the time of hire.
1.4 Additional drivers must be approved by PH Heritage prior to the rental period and meet the same eligibility criteria.

2. Booking, Payment & Deposits

2.1 Full payment and any applicable security deposit must be received no later than 24 hours before the rental period commences.
2.2 Security deposit amounts vary by vehicle and booking and will be confirmed in writing prior to the hire.
2.3 Deposits will be refunded within 7 working days of vehicle return, subject to inspection and any deductions (see Section 8).
2.4 No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled rental start time.

3. Insurance & Liability

3.1 All vehicles are fully insured by PH Heritage Limited, and insurance is included in the rental fee.
3.2 The Hirer is responsible for any excess charges, uninsured damage, or breach of policy conditions that invalidate cover.
3.3 In the event of an accident or damage, the Hirer must immediately notify PH Heritage and follow all reasonable instructions regarding insurance claims and vehicle recovery.

4. Vehicle Use Restrictions

4.1 The vehicle may only be driven by the named driver(s) approved by PH Heritage.
4.2 Race track use, time trials, off-road driving, drifting, or competition driving are strictly prohibited.
4.3 International use is permitted only if agreed in writing prior to the rental.
4.4 Vehicles must not be used for commercial hire, towing, or carrying hazardous materials.

5. Mileage & Fuel Policy

5.1 Each rental includes 150 miles per day, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.2 Additional mileage will be charged at the rate specified in the rental confirmation.
5.3 Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection. Refuelling charges will apply if the vehicle is returned with less.

6. Vehicle Care & Responsibility

6.1 The Hirer must take reasonable care of the vehicle at all times, including secure parking and adherence to road laws.
6.2 The Hirer must not smoke or allow pets inside the vehicle unless authorised in writing.
6.3 Any mechanical issues, warning lights, or damage must be reported to PH Heritage immediately.

7. Return Conditions

7.1 The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and location.
7.2 Late returns may incur additional daily rental charges.
7.3 Vehicles must be returned in the same clean and presentable condition as at collection.

8. Deposit Deductions

Deductions may be made from the deposit for, but not limited to:

• Excessively dirty or soiled interior/exterior

• Smoking or pet odours

• Late return without prior notice

• Unauthorised additional mileage

• Fuel shortfall

• Lost keys or accessories

• Traffic or parking fines incurred during the rental period

• Any repair costs for damage not covered by insurance

9. Accidents & Damage

9.1 In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, the Hirer must contact PH Heritage immediately and obtain a police reference number where applicable.
9.2 The Hirer must not admit liability or make any settlement without PH Heritage’s written consent.
9.3 Damage assessments and repair costs will be confirmed in writing, and any applicable charges will be deducted from the deposit.

10. Termination of Agreement

PH Heritage reserves the right to terminate the rental immediately and recover the vehicle if:

• The Hirer is in breach of these Terms;

• The vehicle is being misused or driven recklessly;

• False information was provided during booking.

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

12. Acceptance

By confirming a booking, the Hirer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
